Revolution: Good vs Bad

 When is revolution merited?

In Georgia right now, Fascists have passed the Russia law making it easy to destroy NGO's that allow a democracy to function.  There is substantial overlap but not total overlap between fascists and conservatives, but it is sufficient that I now believe any properly designed government must do everything it can; short of curtailing essential liberties to lock conservatives and conservatives out of power.

Has there ever been a good CONSERVATIVE revolution? None I can think of.  Pick any historical context, and 9 times out of 10 the conservative faction (military, business, nationalist hardliners, or theocrats) leads to blood shed or the reduction of individual liberties.  Moreover, since everything conservatives say is a lie or projection; the net result of conservative actions is the gross reduction of individual liberties across the board.

But wrong thinking centrists will attempt to be ideologically neutral, so it is worthy to explore tests to indicate when a nation is headed for doom and anti democratic norms beyond how conservative the initiators are (ie just because it is patently evident to me, wrong thinking centrists or nauseatingly gross both siders will and are entitled to disagree).  This test is important for dictating decent foreign policy and foreign aid beyond the disgusting realpolitik of late stage capitalism and klepto capitalism (but I repeat myself.)

Fortunately, this was already done in the Declaration of Independence, which to paraphrase summarized this: A government must have both evil action AND evil intent.  Why is this?

Evil Intent but Good Action: Very often, conservative governments enact good in spite of themselves.  Teddy Roosevelt was a progressive from a regressive party and since loyalty and tribal thinking is the only conservative/regressive value they passed many of his reforms to Follow The Leader.  Ditto for Ike.  There were many good and beneficial actions that have helped society as a result of this.

Good Intent but Evil Action: Many bumbling but well intentioned administrations; such as Jimmy Carter and Joe Biden do things that are positively stupid but for the right reasons.  The reason for continuity is obvious, especially in a democracy in that if the intent is good but they are still too stubborn to acknowledge reality they will eventually get hit by a clue by four and correct themselves or at least be voted out.

The true objective advantage of democracy is that it allows stability which breeds wealth (unlike Capitalism or the Oligarch class which actually add nothing of inherent value despite the protestations or lies of conservatives (but again I repeat myself.)

There is a third test I would add however, and that is an attempt to slide a nation from more democracy to less democracy.   Republicans love to harp on about how we live in a Republic, not a democracy, because they are undemocratic.  In truth we live in a Democratic Republic, but since we now see Republicans unwilling to acknowledge the legitimacy of Democratic candidates, we can know beyond doubt that Republicans can and will steal any power or ability for peaceful democratic transition that they are allowed to get away with.  This allows any right thinking individual to treat these organizations as actual enemies of the state, since the state is a Democratic Republic that derives its legitimacy from the governed.  Any attempt by any organized group of individuals to reduce the sovereignty of the citizen majority writ large (note, the majority and not the entitled or enriched minority, nor the theocratic or ideological minority) is an attack on all.

This makes the revolution of the NUG in Myanmar, the Arab Spring or a pending revolution in Georgia totally justified.  Conversely, it self evidently points to the illegitimacy of Israeli colonialism given their refusal to provide democratic sovereignty to their colonial subjects (the Palestinians).  Any anti democratic organization is, by their own admission, an enemy of democracy and to be abolished by any intelligently governed state thereof.

I will also add a hypothetical fourth test which is, in the event of willful incompetence (such as the Democratic Party of the United States) to deal with repeated and recurring enemies of democracy (ie the Republican Party) sets a ticking observational clock that any intelligent person can use to see how long good intent but evil action remains in place.  Should action not be taken, it eventually merits direct and revolutionary action to maintain and keep democratic norms.

Mr President,

I want to insult you, but the subject matter is too serious not to use your appropriate honorific.  I sit here reading my google news feed and see a Snopes Snip,"Did Trump Share Post with Article Saying Trump Dictatorship is 'Increasongly Inevitable' and it is marked True.

Mr Biden  we have had our disagreements and I have called you many things  but I speak plainly now.  If you fail to address Trump as a terrorist, you should resign.  This is not hyperbole.  He is using fear as a political tactic, which is terrorism, he dogwhistles fascism and dictatorship.  No one who favors him has any doubt about his intentions.  You swore an oath to defend the Republic and uphold the constitution.  Even assuming you dont take him seriously, how dare you roll the dice with the American public? How is this man walking around free?

Mr. President, you talk alot about Hamas and how bad it is, and how they are terrorists and how Israel is justified in its actions..A thought exercize for you Mr President...if every Republican changed their party affiliation to Hamas...what would you do?

Hamas calls for the total destruction, by violence  of the nation of Israel.  The Republicans routinely use language that describes liberals as sub human.  Is there ANY doubt in your mind, ANY that Trump will put you  your entire family  the senate  the house and media personalities they dont like in concentration camps on day 1? 1) Ask the DOJ to harshly prosecute any violations of court orders for Trump or any Republican

2) Immediately launch investigations into every single Republican and billionare backing them for treason.

3) Fire Garland if he resists in the slightest.

4) Immediately make public all material you have that isnt direct evidence in a trial against Trump to show even more what a threat he is

5) Prosecute all known violations of the law any republican has committed

6) Begin realistic preparations for an American government in exile and prepare for infrastructure and services of Americans in case they need to retreat

7) Change IRS policy on taxes of Americans abroad so that only millionares pay us taxes abroad  this will be weaponized against Americans who flee and is already disgusting

8) By presidential decree mandate copies of the library of congeess made and hidden throughout rhe country and the world to preseve against the books he will burn

9) Fire any dhs employees loyal to Trump  just fucking so it Mr. resident

10) Pronise to have the US Military on site at every red state and blue city pling station to protect our voters

Sockpuppets and Fascism

 I dont know what it is about edgelord technofascists and the need to create sock puppets but I run into it sometimes.  I first encountered it with gamergaters on twitter  now well documented, then later sadpuppy fascists trying to rig the World Con awards.   Maybe when you are an edgelord incel you like to invent people but then again llms and the push for imaginary money and imaginary friends makes sense that basement dwelling Chads would do.

I have also seen similar tactics from Nigerian and Russian scammers on many mediums, the more big tech the medium the bigger and more heads the hydra had.   Botsentinel on twitter had an infinite supply of sockpuppets to defend it.

So when I see a (according to many) "reliable and good guy" make a block list full of anti lgbt blocks on Mastodon, I am not AT ALL surpised when the edgelord sockpuppets spring out of the woodwork talking the same until I point it out and then only mostly the same. Dude has a Patraon for his hate speech so it only makes sense that he will create as many new mastodon accounts as required to defend his mealticket

Limited vs Unlimited Worldviews

 Visiting my parents, a conversation came up that moved the post I was thinking of doing on why I consider those who call taxation theft, theives themselves forward in my mental queue.   The world is going through a major conflict right now; arguably conflicts, the most prominent is globalists vs populists or fascists vs anti fascists, or even conservative vs liberal.  And none of them are quite right.  I am not going to spend time explaining what those six words really mean, but provide a link that at least gets the process started.  The inciting conversation really came about why China was facing problems now due to its very limited thinking during the population limit that were popular in the world mindset during the 1970's and are slowly kiling them now.    That lead to a discussion over people who are willing to easily accept authoritarian solutions to problems, even people who are in favor of small government.

I think the best way to distill this to the real world is, why is the worlds richest liberatian; Charles Koch, willing to fund the worlds most dangerous fascist; Ron Desantis.   After all, a small government advocate should be the most virulent anti fascist of all, since on their lovely little world view chart they put themselves at opposite of statism.  And yet, this is just babbling.  Time and time again, libertarians are just as willing to use authoritarian means to achieve their ends as anyone else; more so I would argue.  My step father summed it up rather well as Zero Sum vs Growth.   And it was perfect, except for memetic purposes.

The best summary of the issue I can think of is why so many gold standard advocates, who are now reincarnated into bitcoin advocates; which I summarize in my critique of twitter.  To take a very complicated concept and distill it down as much as possible; people who like the gold standard like it because there is only so much gold.  People who like bitcoin mainly like it because there is only so many bitcoins.  They hate inflation, they hate inflationary currencies, and they want the world to exist the same way forever.  Never mind, that entropy is the greatest force in the universe and change even more constant than death itself; this is the mindview of people who dont understand abstract concepts very well.
